About the event

Join us for a powerful and unforgettable evening at the North Carolina premiere of Under the Lights at the Riverrun Film Festival. A moving film at the forefront of epilepsy awareness.

Under the Lights follows Sam, a teenage boy living with epilepsy who longs to experience life like any other kid. In a bold and emotional act of courage, he chooses to attend prom despite knowing the flashing lights could trigger a seizure. His journey is one of identity, risk, resilience, and the universal desire to belong.

Written and directed by filmmaker Miles Levin, who brings his own lived experience to the story, the film offers an authentic and deeply personal perspective rarely seen on screen.
